The EX-Motorshield8874 is a DCC-EX compatible motor shield for Arduino-based model railway command station builds. It is pin compatible with the original Arduino Motor Shield Rev3, but offers improved electrical performance for higher loads and more robust DCC-EX use.
The 8874 motor shield is specifically designed for use with a DCC-EX command station or compatible Arduino-based DCC-EX build. It can also be used as a stronger replacement for an Arduino Motor Shield R3 in suitable electronics projects involving inductive loads such as relays, solenoids, DC motors and stepper motors.
For a neater build, pair the board with a DCC-EX WiFi shield, a 3D printed DCC-EX case and a compatible 15V 5A DC power supply.
