Can I use Engine Driver through JMRI instead?

Yes. Engine Driver can connect to JMRI's WiThrottle Server over WiFi.

In that setup:

  • The computer running JMRI connects to the CSB1, usually by USB.
  • JMRI's WiThrottle Server is started from DecoderPro.
  • The Android device running Engine Driver connects to the same network as the JMRI computer.
  • Engine Driver connects to the JMRI WiThrottle Server.

This is useful if you want JMRI roster, panels, DecoderPro, or a computer-based layout workflow.
