Troubleshooting
Engine Driver can connect using WiThrottle protocol or DCC-EX Native Commands.
For basic throttle control, either approach can work depending on the setup. For DCC-EX-specific features, the Native protocol is important because it supports features such as:
- Reading and writing DCC addresses on the programming track.
- Reading and writing CVs on the programming track.
- Writing CVs on the main track.
- Sending native commands to the command station.
- TrackManager control.
