Troubleshooting
A CV, or Configuration Variable, is a decoder setting. CVs control things such as locomotive address, acceleration, braking, speed tables, lighting, sound behaviour, and manufacturer-specific features.
Common examples include:
- CV1: short address.
- CV3: acceleration.
- CV4: deceleration.
- CV29: general decoder configuration, including direction and address mode.
Always check the decoder manual before changing CVs.
